Piano Lesson Programs
- A one-time registration fee of $10.00 will be charged.
- Piano program for student will be agreed upon after initial studio interview:
- Primary (K-grade 2): 30-minute lesson $15.00.
- Second semester kindergarten students may be enrolled, initially learning by rote. The rote program begins with music creation & movement to sound. Fun clapping and singing are encouraged to develop a sense of rhythm and pitch awareness. Planned sequential skills lead into an ability to read and comprehend music. Parents are involved in home practice.
- Grade 3-12 general: 45-minute lesson $22.50
- Concentrated emphasis is on technique, theory, and development of a personal interpretation of period music. Ample opportunities for solo and ensemble performance, both locally and in Indianapolis, are encouraged. Students may also participate in the Indiana Music Teachers' Association events, The Indianapolis Piano Teachers' Association cooperative recitals, The National Guild of Piano Teachers adjudication, and/or the Indiana Junior Festival of Music.
- College Prep: 60-minute lesson $30.00
- Designed exclusively for the serious piano student planning to audition into a college/university music program. Preparation for college auditions should begin no later than the students' high school junior year.
- Adults all levels: 45-minute lesson $22.50
- From "I always wanted to play the piano," to "I used to play, and now I finally have the time to continue learning!" Refine former skills, &/or learn new skills.
- Monthly tuition is due at the second lesson of each month. You will be given a monthly written statement.
- Required music is to be purchased by the student.
- You will be notified, in advance, of entry fees for performing in local and state piano events.
